Best In Show

Child\'s PlayI won a best in show!!!  Can you believe it?  I submitted my “Child’s Play” piece to the Louisville Art Center’s Art & Tactile Challenge.  The joke is I missed the submission date, because I was so busy getting Jordan to gymnastics and getting ready for a meeting at work on Thursday.  I was supposed to go to the opening.  But, being stressed out, I forgot to print out the direction and even worst forgot the show was in Louisville, and was lost in Longmont (30 miles away!).  I would call that a dingbat moment.  But, lovely Leslie Maya-Charles said that it just illustrated our stressful lives.  Is she gracious or what?

She was right; I started the week, wondering if I still had a job and then our area was hit by a tornado.  It is a wonder sometimes that I still know my name!!  LOL!!!  And by the way, give me a earthquake anytime!

But, still I am so proud that my piece won Best in Show!!  YEAH!!!
