Mixed Media Monday – What about India?
Well this is it, a collage for the latest challenge of “place”. Once again I had bazillion ideas and this time I finally settled on my piece “What About India”. It is a collage of all things from India. The background is a newspaper from India that my husband brought back from his visit there last year. Then I found great images of language flash cards, their national anthem, and a beautiful image of an Indian woman. I just loved all the color and images from the flash card and the Taj Mahal, it really shows the warmth and joy of the culture.
There is such color and magic about India, that I thought it was a fascinating subject. And with the phenomenal growth of the country, they have become such an amazing story of the last decade. Why not pick an exotic location to do an art piece about? And since my husband was there, just last week, I thought it was serendipitous that I should pick a place like India for this week’s challenge. Perhaps one day we will all go and see the Taj Mahal.

Your India collage is SO beautiful and inspired! ! ! Visiting India is a dream of mine….some day. I have been working on and off on an altered book with the theme of India….I think I would need to do several books on such a rich topic.
